ABOUT

This project involved a complete renovation and rebuild of an existing Waiwhetū home, transforming it into a modern, functional space designed for long-term living. Rather than a cosmetic refresh, the scope focused on rebuilding the home properly from the inside out, combining structural upgrades with refined finishes to create a home that feels cohesive, durable, and built to last.

Materials & finishes

The home retained its classic weatherboard exterior, paired with a clean and modern interior palette. New carpet, full interior and exterior repainting, and carefully selected finishes bring consistency throughout the home, while the completely rebuilt kitchen and bathrooms introduce a more contemporary level of comfort and usability. Behind the walls, the home was fully rewired and replumbed, ensuring the quality of the renovation extends far beyond the visible finishes.

Stand out features

A key focus of the project was improving both functionality and flow. The main bedroom was reconfigured to include a walk-in wardrobe and private ensuite, creating better separation and a stronger sense of space within the home. Practical details such as the separate toilet, infinity hot water system, and heat pump were incorporated to improve everyday performance and comfort. Externally, partial fencing and off-street parking complete the project, delivering a well-rounded renovation that balances craftsmanship, practicality, and timeless design.
